Mechanical Commissioning Provider

TUNE is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Agent for commercial buildings. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of building automation systems, mechanical systems design, and construction processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide commissioning services for new and existing buildings
  • Review and optimize building control systems and performance
  • Interact with client staff, client principals, building construction management teams and building construction trades
  • Develop commissioning plans, specifications, and design reviews for new and existing buildings
  • Review shop drawings and equipment submittals in parallel with design team
  • Write detailed Functional Performance Test (FPT) procedures for issue to contractor
  • Perform site visits during construction to observe mechanical system installation and operation
  • Witness equipment startups, test/balance activities, and administer system functional performance testing
  • Inspect and functionally test existing energy consuming equipment and diagnose problems
  • Effectively lead commissioning team meetings
  • Develop clear and concise written reports that summarize the results of the commissioning process  

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and on teams
  • Possessing strong oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
  • Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of design
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field
  • Minimum of two years experience in construction administration for commercial buildings


Electrical Commissioning Provider

TUNE is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Agent for commercial buildings and mission critical facilities. The successful candidate will have knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems with utilization voltage of 208V, 240V, and 480V.  5kV and 15kV system knowledge is also beneficial.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide commissioning services for new and existing buildings
  • Review electrical distribution systems designs to understand design intent
  • Interact with client staff, client principals, building construction management teams, and building construction trades
  • Develop commissioning plans, specifications, and design reviews for new and existing buildings
  • Review shop drawings and equipment submittals in parallel with the design team
  • Write detailed Functional Performance Test (FPT) procedures for issue to contractor
  • Perform site visits during construction to observe electrical system installation and operation
  • Witness equipment startups and administer system functional performance testing
  • Effectively lead commissioning team meetings
  • Develop clear and concise written reports that summarize the results of the commissioning process

Qualifications

  • Electrical field related associate’s degree or field experience as an electrician
  • Minimum of two years experience in construction administration for commercial buildings
  • Self-motivated
  • Engaged
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Reliable and organized
  • Detailed oriented
  • Desire to continuously learn and enhance technical and professional skill set
