One of our most impactful collaborations is with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Our team brings a deep commitment to quality and performance in every project, most notably through our specialized expertise in Building Envelope Commissioning.

Kiewit Hall, a newly completed 181,000-square-foot academic facility, is a shining example of innovation, collaboration, and sustainable design. As the centerpiece of UNL’s College of Engineering expansion, Kiewit Hall features high-tech laboratories, modern teaching spaces, and collaborative environments designed to support the next generation of engineering leaders.

TUNE played a critical role in this transformative project by delivering a comprehensive suite of commissioning services, including:

• LEED Enhanced Commissioning

• Building Envelope Commissioning

• Support for WELL Certification

These services reflect our ongoing mission to support high-performance building systems and the health and well-being of occupants.

Within Kiewit Hall, our commissioning team ensured that all major systems perform to the highest standards of efficiency and reliability. This included:

• Precise calibration of heating and cooling systems for year-round comfort

• Integration testing of smart HVAC controls to optimize indoor climate

• Verification of plumbing and water systems for both sustainability and functionality

• Detailed review of lighting systems and controls to enhance energy efficiency and learning conditions

• Oversight of emergency and backup power systems to ensure operational resilience

Completed in 2024, Kiewit Hall reflects the university’s vision for forward-thinking education and TUNE’s unwavering dedication to delivering facilities that meet and exceed expectations.
