Scott Engineering Center & Link Project

University of Nebraska-Lincoln | Lincoln, Nebraska

In 2023, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) unveiled its engineering college’s transformative renovation and expansion through the Scott Engineering Center and Link Project. This ambitious endeavor focused on modernizing two key facilities—the Engineering Research Center and Scott Engineering Center—elevating them into dynamic, innovation-driven environments designed to foster research, learning, and collaboration.

Spanning 68,000 square feet of renovated space and 3,600 square feet of new construction, the project introduces state-of-the-art laboratories, adaptable classrooms, and multifunctional spaces tailored to meet the evolving needs of engineering education. Situated in the heart of Lincoln, Nebraska, the updated facilities now serve as a cornerstone for UNL’s mission to drive forward-thinking research and academic excellence.

Through close collaboration and technical expertise, Tune Facilities helped support the building’s unique design and quality control for occupancy comfort, supporting an academic environment that inspires discovery, innovation, and excellence in engineering education. This project redefines the physical landscape of UNL’s engineering college and sets a new benchmark for the future of STEM learning environments.
